Haven Connect Celebrates 100,000 Affordable Housing Applicants
As founder and CEO of Haven Connect, I'm delighted to announce we've reached an incredible milestone: more than 100,000 people have used Haven Connect to find and apply for affordable housing! There has never been more demand for affordable housing in this country, and we're proud to be on the forefront of companies leading the way to a better, brighter future for our affordable housing applicants and property management customers.
Serving 100,000 applicants is incredibly important to me because it's not just about our success as a company; I founded Haven Connect to get applicants into housing faster, and to make sure it's done in a compassionate, equitable, and compliant way. It's why our company exists, and it's the single most important thing we do at Haven Connect. That more than 100,000 people have put their trust into Haven Connect is a true testament to what we've built, and I'm extremely grateful to all of our applicants for joining us on this journey. We’ll continue to strive for extreme simplicity and ease for you to get into affordable housing. I know it’s incredibly hard when you’re waiting for years to get into affordable housing, and we’re dedicated to making the process easier and even more user-friendly.
Prior to founding Haven Connect, I was a social worker in San Francisco, CA. On average, I spent 25+ hours each week hand-writing affordable housing applications for my clients, as well as calling property managers to follow up about their status on the waitlist. The process was tedious, duplicative, and highly inefficient for all parties involved. It didn't take long for me to realize there had to be a better way.
I founded Haven Connect in 2015 to modernize the affordable housing process by providing a user-friendly, web-based platform to help people search and apply for housing, and to manage their status on the waitlist. Since then, we've helped more than 100,000 people submit nearly 500,000 affordable housing applications, with about half of these coming in the last 12 months alone. And we’re on pace to help even more people apply for housing over the next 12 months!
In any event, I just want to conclude by saying thank you to everyone who helped us reach 100,000 applicants. Our customers, partners, and team have all played a major role in Haven Connect's growth and leadership in the affordable housing space. I'm proud of what we've accomplished so far, and I look forward to continuing to do great work together for many years to come.
